Invisible Clarity by LOCUS at Tegnerforbundet
Invisible clarity is an exhibition created in collaboration with Thale Fastvold at Tegnerforbundet (The National Drawing Society in Norway).
Through photography and drawing the themes Genius Loci (Fastvold) and Bardo (Thorjussen) is explored. Through collaboration the installation Kabinett is created with spesiments from zoology and cosmology. The drawings by Thorjussen titled Bardo are pencil drawings on handmade cotton paper from India measuring 135 cm x 95 cm. The word Bardo comes from Tibetan “Bar” meaning liminal space and “do” meaning island or source. This project describes a liminal time between death and life originating from a specific source. The photograph by Fastvold are titled Genius Loci and is Latin for spirit of place. In all cultures, certain places are considered to contain spirits or souls, this project has captured Genius Loci of locations in Norway and Greece. |
